For Coaches: Treat Your Social Media Like an Extension of Your Practice

Your Social Media Is Part of the Session

Coaching is about connection: the moment when a person feels seen, guided, and understood. But here’s the thing: that connection doesn’t only happen during a 1:1 session or workshop anymore. It begins long before that, often on social media.

When coaches treat their social channels like a checklist (“post twice a week, follow trends, keep it consistent”), they miss what makes their work so powerful in the first place: presence, empathy, and intention.

Your social media isn’t separate from your coaching.
It’s the space where your future clients are already looking for guidance, maybe not directly asking questions, but scrolling with questions in mind.

A couple of days ago I had an amazing opportunity to attend a one of a kind module with some of the most respected figures in technology at SMU in Dallas, Texas. (Hence the picture).

And I was amazed that the word “storytelling” came up in those sessions. The reason, it’s because storytelling is needed to get your message across. More than strong data and jargon, people need to feel more connected than ever – in a technology-driven world.

I was honored to be part of that conversation even though it was just for one day.

The Energy You Bring Online Matters

Think about how you show up in a session. You listen, you observe, you help someone gain clarity.

Your content can do the same.

A post doesn’t need to “perform.”
It needs to make someone pause and feel understood.
That’s what leads to real conversations, not just likes – or as we call them vanity metrics.

Build With Intention

Coaches often say they “don’t have time to promote themselves.”
But what if social media wasn’t something you had to do, but something that simply extended what you already love doing?

Talk the way you coach.
Share lessons that come naturally from your work.
And remember: your next client probably isn’t searching for a coach: they’re searching for a voice that gets them.

Your voice has the power to draw people in, we just need to help you reach your audience.

A Human Reminder

At HuLike, we believe marketing should feel human: vulnerable, emotional, and story-driven.

Because when your content reflects your purpose, you build a much deeper connection with your audience.

If you’re a coach or consultant ready to build content that connects like a real conversation, let’s talk.

HuLike helps you grow through human-centered content strategies: rooted in empathy, clarity, and your voice.
